Who we are
Academy of Arts Yazoo City offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary, as well as performance opportunities. We provide strong technical training that sharpens skills and nurtures artistic expression in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Students are encouraged to use their gifts and talents to glorify God and to pursue excellence in the arts with a purpose beyond themselves.
Complete Training
The Academy of Arts offers ballet instruction to all students, as we see ballet as a vital and beautiful foundation for all styles of dance. Tap, jazz, and contemporary classes are also offered, and students have performance opportunities in both our Christmas production and Spring Recital. Classes are geared toward beginner- to intermediate-level students ages 3-15. We are located at First Baptist Church, Yazoo City, and classes take place after school hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. More days and class times will be offered in the near future!
